  • Jacum is not just another CMS.

    Jacum is a CMS Framework.

It is an integration layer that brings together all aspects content management applications are dealing with:

    • Persistence
    • Transformation
    • Caching
    • Security
Its modular architecture is based on Spring, which allows building custom CMSes tailored for specific content sources, security models, template engines and caching strategies.

It can be integrated into any web application, or used standalone with

Currently Jacum supports the following right out-of-the box:

    • Persistence: file system (read-only, for security reasons) and JCR (JSR-170) persistence
    • Transformation: Velocity templates
    • Caching: page caching in EhCache
    • Security: simple file-based user authentication module
    • Publishing via embedded publishing servlet
    • Webservice endpoint for content manipulation
    • Backend GUI client based on Eclipse RCP
